The River Waterway Town of Sydney
Wolli Creek (formerly known as North Arncliffe) is a suburb in southern Sydney. Named after its northern waterway, Wolli Creek was only officially declared a suburb in 2002. It sits beside the Wolli Creek and Cooks River waterways. Wolli Creek is situated between the suburbs of Arncliffe and Tempe, 10 kilometers south of the Sydney central business district and is part of the St George area. Previously, the suburb had been a primarily industrial area, only giving rise to the high-density commercial and residential spaces of today from the late 1990s.
